Nurse Reinvestment Act

The Nurse Reinvestment Act (H.R. 3487) was unanimously passed in the Senate, and then in the House of Representatives on July 22, 2002. On August 1, 2002, President George W. Bush signed the bill into law creating P.L. 107-205.
The bill established nurse scholarships, nurse grants and public service announcements to promote the nursing profession.
